COLUMBIA, S.C. – A South Carolina woman is sharing her story after surviving a gas station fire. It happened on May 17th in Columbia.

Olivia Finch says she was pumping gas, when she heard tires screeching loudly. Investigators say a driver was avoiding police after a road rage incident and ended up crashing into the pump Finch was using. Finch was pinned between the car and the pump, and her clothes caught fire. She suffered severe burns to her hand, leg, and feet.

Finch says, “Since I’ve been driving, I’ve always watched my surroundings while I’m at a gas station. Before I was about to get back in my car, I heard a loud tire screech. I thought I was gonna die, like I thought that was it for me.”
