SLED leading investigation in Fort Mill after law enforcement shot a suspect while serving a warrant

FORT MILL, S.C. – The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is leading an investigation in Fort Mill after police shot a suspect while serving a warrant.

The shooting happened just before lunch Tuesday at the Sycamore Apartments off Springfield Parkway. According to the York County Sheriff’s Office, agents were serving an Internet Crimes Against Children warrant. That’s when they say the suspect, who has not been named, shot at deputies and they shot back.

The suspect was taken to the hospital. No officers were hurt.
