Local family honors missing man found dead, says they suspect foul play

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A family suspects foul play in the death of a local father. Friday, they hosted a memorial service to remember Carlos Aristoteles and keep attention focused on his case.

Loved ones gathering at the Reserve at Campbell’s Creek Apartments on Farm Pond Lane to share memories of Aristoteles. His sister, Ana Tiznado, says, “My brother was a kind, loving man, respectful, humble, and (his death is) kind of raw. I think that’s the memory that a lot of people that knew him have.”

Salisbury Police found the 38-year-old’s body on Wednesday in an ecological preserve area on the campus of Catawba College. He was last seen May 23rd walking near his apartment on Farm Pond Lane, about 45 miles away.

The family says Aristoteles would never have left his children behind. We have asked police if they suspect foul play in this case. They have not responded, nor have they said how he died.
