Novant to buy 25 acres at failed Panthers practice facility site in Rock Hill

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Rock Hill City Council approved a deal Monday night for Novant to buy 25 acres at Palmetto Research Park. The investment is estimated at over $300 million and will bring 255 full-time positions.

Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper planned to build a new team headquarters and practice facility at the site, before plans fell apart in 2022.

The total size of the site, off I-77 at exit 81, is more than 200 acres.
