Officers capture 2 escaped NC inmates at home in Asheville

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The search is over for two men who escaped from a North Carolina prison.

The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation Special Response Team arrested Michael Miles and Lishawn Knott around 12:20 Tuesday morning at a home in Asheville.

The pair had been on the run since June 3. The FBI said the investigation into the inmates’ escape and their actions afterward remains ongoing.
