Silfab Solar confirms contractor was hurt at plant Wednesday night

FORT MILL, S.C. – Silfab Solar confirms a contractor was injured at its Fort Mill plant Wednesday evening. A spokesperson for Silfab says the contractor was delivering equipment when the injury happened. One person was taken the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Silfab says the company is still working to understand what caused the incident.

The plant has faced protests from neighbors concerned about its proximity to schools, especially after spills at the facility earlier this year.
