MrBeast makes YouTube history

North Carolina native MrBeast has officially made YouTube history by becoming the first creator ever to reach 500 million subscribers.

MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, spent years experimenting with content before building one of the largest audiences in internet history.

The 28-year-old built his audience through massive challenges, elaborate stunts, and high-dollar giveaways, including his viral real-life Squid Game competition.

The milestone was reached on Friday, June 12. Donaldson livestreamed the moment on his YouTube channel.
