Police searching for SC woman last seen leaving gym and wandering into wooded area

LEXINGTON, S.C. – A South Carolina family is desperate for answers after a personal trainer vanished without a trace. Police say Elena Moore was last seen leaving a Planet Fitness in Lexington on Thursday, June 11. The 39-year-old was walking toward a wooded area behind a nearby Lowe’s.

Her husband reported her missing the next day.

Investigators have spent days searching the area with drones and ground crews, but so far, no sign of Moore. Friend Michael Hopper says, “Somebody has got to know something, somebody has got to seen something or heard something. Please come forward.”

Authorities say Moore’s disappearance is very out of character, and while foul play is not currently suspected, the search remains active.
