Sex offender arrested near local playground with children present

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – A sex offender has been arrested near a local playground. The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office got information that 33-year-old Takim Holmes was seen at Mazeppa Park in Mooresville.

They say Holmes was wanted on multiple felony sex offender violation warrants.

He was arrested about 300 feet from a playground with children present.

We’re told Holmes also had marijuana when arrested. He’s being held under a $100,000 secured bond.
