5 arrested, guns seized in Lancaster County drug bust

Five suspects have been arrested in connection to a drug trafficking investigation in South Carolina, according to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators had been observing illegal drug activity from a home on Three Cs Road in Kershaw, South Carolina for several months. They searched the home on June 11.

In the search, investigators said they seized 10.75 grams of fentanyl, 51.04 grams of methamphetamine, 25.28 grams of cocaine, 3.4 grams of marijuana, and digital scales. Two semiautomatic pistols were seized, and nearly $4,000 were taken from the homeowner, 36-year-old Cedric Wright.

Wright along with four others, Staci Mangum, Joshua Ray, Derrick Seegars, and Christopher Welch, were at the property at the time of the search and were also arrested. All were taken to the Lancaster County Detention Center.

“This spot down on Three Cs Road has been a problem for quite a while,” said Sheriff Barry Faile. “The Task Force investigators worked hard to build a good case, and the timing of the search warrant couldn’t have been better. We caught five people and a bunch of drugs, guns, and money in the house, and all five are still in jail. This was a good operation for the folks down in Kershaw, and I hope we’ve shut this location down for good.”
