Charlotte City Council approved red light camera pilot program
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte City Council decided on Monday to move forward with a one-year pilot program to bring back red light cameras.
Drivers will face a $75 fine if caught running a red light where one of the cameras are installed.
People who ignore the fine will then be charged another $100.
The pilot program will be narrowed to the 10 most dangerous intersections in the city.
