CMPD SWAT standoff ends after five hours with no suspect found

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A SWAT situation has ended in east Charlotte. Police arrived at an apartment complex on Kelston Place off Albemarle Road around 9:15 Wednesday morning, for a domestic violence call.

They spent almost five hours at the scene… before discovering the person they were looking for wasn’t there.

Neighbors were evacuated from nearby apartments while the SWAT situation was going on.
