The Charlotte Hornets have traded star guard LaMelo Ball to the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to an ESPN report. The Hornets sent Ball and guard Josh Green to Minnesota for forward Naz Reid and multiple draft picks.
The picks include a 2033 unprotected first-round pick, three first-round pick swaps in 2028, 2029, and 2030, and three second-round picks in 2029, 2032, 2033.
Ball joins fellow All-Star Anthony Edwards as the Hornets look to build on last season’s success.
Ball was drafted No. 3 overall by the Hornets in 2020.
