Couple arrested after driving truck onto golf course

INDIAN TRAIL, N.C. – Two people have been arrested after driving a pickup truck onto a golf course. Union County deputies noticed the truck driving on the golf cart paths at Charlotte National Golf Course. Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop once the vehicle exited the course but the driver failed to stop and returned to the course.

While investigating the incident, deputies found several damaged benches and tire marks throughout the property.

After contacting the owner of the vehicle, Nicholas Moore, he stated that his girlfriend and he were both in the vehicle.

The driver, Whitney Maske was charged with misdemeanor flee to elude and second-degree trespassing. Moore was charged with second-degree trespassing.

Both individuals received a $1,500 unsecured bond.
