Police searching for suspect after Kay Jewelers theft in Monroe
Police are searching for a man accused of stealing high-value jewelry from a Kay Jewelers in Monroe.
It happened around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at the jewelry retain chain store off West Highway 74. Police said a man grabbed several pieces of high-value jewelry and fled the store on foot toward the Burlington Coat Factory area. The man fled the area before police arrived.
Police are still looking for the suspect. He was reportedly seen on surveillance wearing a white shirt, jeans, and a hat at the time of the snatch-and-grab. They say he has several visible tattoos on his hands and wrists.
