Heat wave settles in this week and continues through the Holiday weekend

Extreme heat and humidity is one of the leading weather-related killers in the United States. Take this upcoming heat wave seriously:

  • Drink plenty of water
  • Limit outdoor activities
  • Wear lightweight and light-colored clothing
  • Wear sunscreen
  • Work outdoors early or very late in the day when temperatures are cooler

Forecast:
Monday: Sunny and hot. Isolated showers and storms. Highs in the low 90s.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the low to mid 90s.

Wednesday: Here comes the oppressive heat. Highs in the upper 90s.

Thursday: Sunny and hot. Highs near 100.

Friday: Forecast to be the hottest day of the week. Highs near 102 with “feels like” temperatures near 109.
