As heat wave rolls in, Ramsey Creek Beach remains closed due to drought

CORNELIUS, N.C. – You won’t be able to get any relief from the heat at Mecklenburg County’s only public beach.

Ramsey Creek Beach in Cornelius remains closed because of the drought. Mecklenburg County Park and Rec says the swimming area is too low for people to use safely.

Public swimming pools like Double Oaks and Cordelia remain open.
