“Black Boys Cry” stage play confronts masculinity & mental health

CHARLOTTE, N.C.– For generations, many boys have been told to “man up,” “be tough,” and “don’t cry.” But what happens when those emotions stay bottled up for years? A powerful new stage production, “Black Boys Cry,” shines a spotlight on the emotional journeys of Black men while encouraging honest conversations about healing, mental health, relationships, and breaking generational cycles.
