LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. β One driver is dead after a fatal accident occurred on NC 27 near Long Circle in Lincoln County on Wednesday, July 8th. 52-year-old Kevin Long was traveling west on NC 27 when Long crossed the center line causing a head-on collision.Β As a result of the crash, the Ford caught fire.
Long’s vehicle caught fire as a result of the crash. Long was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries.
Tracy Mosteller, 59, of Vale was driving the other vehicle and died at the scene. The initial investigation suspected impairment could be a contributing factor.
This crash remains under investigation.
