Charlotte City Council to reassess conversation around data centers

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The City of Charlotte says it will reassess how it’s approaching the conversation around data centers.

Council members say the announcement comes after city staff started appointing members to a community group to weigh in on the issue without getting input from council.

The city says it will reassess the “current process and community engagement approach.” Charlotte passed a five month pause on data centers back in June.
