CMPD investigating city’s latest homicide after man is killed on Eastcrest Drive

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police were on scene investigating a homicide in east Charlotte Tuesday night. They were at the 1400 block of Eastcrest Drive.

They responded to an Assault with a Deadly Weapon call just before 7PM. When officers arrived, the found a man with life-threatening injuries. MEDIC pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives and Crime Scene technicians arrived to collect evidence. The investigation is active and ongoing.
