Accused Sun Drop killer on his way back to NC to face charges

CONCORD, N.C. – The alleged Sun Drop killer is on his way back to North Carolina. Court officials say Johnny Talbert was extradited from Washington State on Tuesday. Concord Police say they don’t know when he will arrive here.

Investigators believe Talbert killed Donna Barnhardt and Darrell Noles during a robbery at the Sun Drop Bottling Company plant in 2008.

Talbert was arrested in Port Angeles, Washington back in May after nearly 20 years on the run.
