American Eagle Outfitters bringing 200 jobs to Rowan County

ROWAN CO., N.C. – American Eagle Outfitters will build a new distribution center in Rowan County.

The $41 million investment is expected to create 200 jobs. It will occupy a nearly 500,000 square foot facility at Innovation Logistics Center on Peeler Road in Salisbury.

“We are proud to welcome American Eagle Outfitters, an iconic apparel retailer recognized around the world, to Rowan County,” Rowan County Board of Commissioners Greg Edds said. “This new distribution center represents more than an investment in facilities — it is an investment in our people and our future. AEO’s decision to invest in our region reflects the strength of our community and the talented individuals who call Rowan County home.”

It’s expected to open early next year.
