CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Tropical Storm Bertha has formed in the Gulf. This system will bring gusty wind, heavy rain and storm surge to the Gulf Coast through the week.
Isolated flash flooding is possible from the Florida panhandle to Texas through Friday. A Coastal Flood Warning is in effect for the Mississippi and the Louisiana coast where moderate flooding is expected.
Bertha will get steered westward toward Texas thanks to an area of high pressure off the SE coast. This is no threat to the Carolinas.
