Brookford Police find human remains in search for missing man, waiting on positive ID

CATAWBA CO., N.C. – A search for a missing man leads police to human remains in Catawba County. Police and state SBI agents found the remains Monday night while executing a search warrant at a property on 4th Street Place Southwest in Brookford.

We are told the search is connected to the ongoing disappearance of 79-year-old Claude “Doc” Holsclaw.

Brookford Police investigators do suspect foul play. They have not positively identified the remains yet. The medical examiner is working to determine the cause of death.
