Three teens are facing charges in connection to the deadly shooting of a 14-year-old in west Charlotte last week, according to police.
It happened around 2 a.m. on July 14 at a home on Lewiston Avenue. When police arrived, they said they located Kamarhy Sanders-Livingston with apparent gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Sanders-Livingston died from his injuries on Wednesday.
The day after the shooting, CMPD located and arrested 17-year-old Tabius Joseph. Juandriqus Dempsey, 17, and a 15-year-old boy were arrested on July 22.
All three were charged with murder on Thursday. Joseph and Dempsey have also been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or serious injure, felony conspiracy, and injury to real property.
Joseph and Dempsey were transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office. The 15-year-old boy was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center in Cabarrus County.
