MLS and David and Nicole Tepper Foundation honor four local groups ahead of All Star Game

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Ahead of Wednesday’s All-Star game, MLS is giving back. As part of its Hometown Heroes Showcase, four local community groups were awarded $15,000 grants to support their mission. The David and Nicole Tepper Foundation then matched those grants, adding another $15,000 for each organization.

One of the recipient groups is Anderson Outreach. The money will be used toward their program that helps youth who have a parent who is in jail. Board Chair Alesia Fleming says, “It meant so much to us knowing that our youth and their stories had been told and someone valued those stories so it meant a lot to us and we’re so excited.”

Anderson Outreach’s programs for youth include horse therapy and live performing arts events.
