Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Chris Brazzell II will miss the entire 2026 season after injuring his left knee in training camp, the team announced Thursday.
Brazzell will undergo surgery to repair his lateral collateral ligament (LCL) and will be placed on injured reserve. He went down on a 7-on-7 drill Wednesday and was carted off the field.
The 22-year-old receiver out of Tennessee was the Panthers’ third-round pick in the 2026 draft.
Carolina will be without several key players to start the 2026 season. Outside linebacker Nic Scourton suffered a torn ACL on the first day of training camp last Thursday. The Panthers will also be without both starting tackles with Ikem Ekwonu still recovering from a ruptured patellar tendon and Taylor Moton ruled out after a blood clot was found in his lung.
Still, Carolina has a deep receiver core, led by NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Tetairoa McMillan.
