Youth Baseball Celebration impact Charlotte’s West Blvd. corridor

CHARLOTTE, N.C.– Former Major League Baseball pitcher Morris Madden is bringing a three-day celebration of youth baseball and community to Charlotte’s historic West Boulevard Corridor.

The 2026 Carolinas Metro Reds Invitational, presented by the Carolinas Metro Reds Baseball Family and Renaissance West Community Initiative, will take place August 8th at the Southview Community Recreation Center.

The free event will feature competitive youth baseball, food trucks, vendors, a community blood drive and activities for families. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and spend the weekend supporting young athletes from across the region.
