Bank of America joins Charlotte Hornets for annual Day of Service
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte Hornets and Bank of America teamed up Wednesday for their annual Hornets Day of Service. More than 200 employee volunteers gathered at the Spectrum Center Wednesday morning for the event, which focused on supporting local neighbors experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.
Hornets players Coby White and Grant Williams joined team executives to help assemble mental health tool kits and meal supplies on the arena concourse. White says, “I know I’m real big on mental health and just started a foundation about it. So, I think it would be a great way for me to give back, especially mental health being one of the pillars that I kind of like live by. Right now, I’m making a mental health kit, so, for me it’s, it’s also helping me, you know, giving me ideas of stuff to help with my mental health.”
This is the 11th year for this event.
