2 men arrested after accomplice killed in attempted Rock Hill robbery

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Two men are facing murder charges in connection to a deadly shooting in Rock Hill.

The shooting happened Thursday night at an apartment complex on Springdale Road near Dave Lyle Boulevard.

According to police, Ka’darius Turney-Hansley, Christopher Thompson Jr., and an 18-year-old man co-conspired to rob a 20-year-old. Police said the 18-year-old shot and attempted to rob the victim, who used a firearm to shoot back.

The 18-year-old sustained several gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries. Police said the victim arrived at a different hospital with a gunshot wound, but his current condition is unknown at this time.

Turner-Hansley was arrested on Friday, and Thompson turned himself in on Saturday. Both have been charged with murder, criminal conspiracy, armed robbery with a deadly weapon, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
