NASCAR declares August 18th as “Kyle Busch Day”

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – NASCAR has declared Wednesday, August 18th, as “Kyle Busch Day.” The date, 8-18, represents two numbers Busch drove during his Cup Series career.

He won two Cup Series titles driving the number 18 car, and later drove the number eight for Richard Childress Racing. Busch won a record 234 races across NSACAR’s top three series. He’ll also be honored at Charlotte Motor Speedway in October.

The 41-year-old died in May after bacterial pneumonia turned into sepsis.
