Queen City Nerve shuts down after eight years in business

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Local alternative newspaper Queen City Nerve has announced it is shutting down, effective immediately.

Launched in 2018, the newspaper covered local news, along with stories about arts, music, and food.

In a letter on its website on Monday, editor Ryan Pitkin and publisher Justin LaFrancois say the paper began to run into financial issues last year, and that discussions with a potential buyer fell through.
