Deputies arrest local man for sex crimes involving a child

LINCOLN CO., N.C. – A Lincoln County man is accused of sex crimes involving a juvenile. Deputies arrested 35-year-old Desmond Jones on Saturday.

Warrants say he’s accused of having sex with a girl under the age of 18, and that he had assumed a role as a the victim’s substitute parent or custodian, which is a felony.

A judge gave Jones a $300,000 secured bond.
