Kannapolis Police make 3 arrests in 2024 Christmas Eve murder

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – Kannapolis Police have now charged three people in the 2024 Christmas Eve shooting death of Angelo Markantonakis.

Justin Roberts was taken into custody in Charlotte on Wednesday. He faces charges of first-degree murder, first-degree kidnapping, and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Two other suspects, Deonandre Potts and Antonio Woodard, are incarcerated in California, awaiting extradition on the same charges.

The victim was found dead from gunshot wounds at his Windy Rush Drive home.
