Six Flags announces it is moving its headquarters out of Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Six Flags has announced plans to re-locate its headquarters from Charlotte to Arlington, Texas.

The amusement park operator owns Carowinds and more than 30 other amusement and water parks. In a news release, Six Flags president John Reilly says Texas provides a central location and a business-friendly environment. He says moving to Texas also supports the company’s “long-term vision for growth.”

Six Flags merged with Cedar Fair in 2024.
