MONROE, N.C. – A teen has been arrested in connection to the Skywatch Lane shooting. Further investigation led authorities to 18-year-old, Christopher Sakyi of Monroe.
Sakyi was arrested and charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and discharging a firearm in the town limits.

MONROE, N.C. – The Monroe Police are investigating after shots were fired into a residence on Skywatch Lane near Waxhaw Highway.
Thursday night, Monroe Police responded to Skywatch Lane after it was reported that shots were fired multiple times.
Witnesses reported that a black vehicle was circling the neighborhood before the shooting occurred. Investigators are working the determine more details.

No one was injured in this incident.
