Neese’s Sausage back on store shelves

CHARLOTTE, N.C.– Breakfast lovers, this is the comeback North Carolina has been waiting for! Neese’s Country Sausage is finally making its way back onto grocery-store shelves! After production problems left that familiar sausage missing for months, the century-old North Carolina brand was acquired by the White family, owners of Raleigh-based Jesse Jones. Production has moved to a modern USDA-inspected facility with new equipment, and you’ll notice updated packaging designed with food safety in mind. But here’s the important part for longtime Neese’s fans: the original recipes are staying the same! Regular, Hot and Extra Sage sausage began returning to more than 500 Food Lion stores in North Carolina and Virginia, with a wider rollout planned. So today we’re celebrating the only way we know how — we’re cooking some!
