‘Hell’s Kitchen’ brings award-winning musical to Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The award-winning Broadway musical “Hell’s Kitchen” is now playing at Belk Theater in Charlotte.

Inspired by Alicia Keys’ life and music, the show follows 17-year-old Ali as she searches for freedom, discovers her purpose and navigates the relationships shaping her future.

Cast members Roz White and Desmond Sean Ellington talked to WCCB Rising’s Taylor Miller about the production and its themes of family, mentorship and community.
