Gaston Co. Police: 2 dead, 2 hurt in shooting at home on Forbes Road

GASTON CO., N.C. – Police say two people are dead and two others are critically injured after a shooting in southern Gaston County. Police arrived to a home on Forbes Road just before 9:00 Thursday morning and found the four victims inside.

Two were pronounced dead at the scene and EMS took the others to the hospital. Police say they aren’t releasing their names, but will say that everyone involved knew each other and there is no ongoing threat.

We talked with a family friend who showed up at the scene and was upset. Jennifer Greene says, “(I’m) just trying to find out if everybody’s okay right now. And we are, I’m gonna head to the hospital because they were all taken to the hospital and see if we can find out if, if, if they’re, they survived or not. We don’t really know. The only information I have seen, the cops have not gave me any information, is what I’ve seen on the Facebook.”

Police say they have identified a person of interest and are not looking for anyone else.
