CHARLOTTE, N.C. – One person is dead following a shooting in Uptown on Sunday.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department says the suspect in this case has been identified as 49-year-old Sean Dell. He’s been charged with first-degree murder.
Police say the victim was shot on the sidewalk near the Spectrum Center on 300 block of East Trade Street around noon.
MEDIC transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where they were later pronounced deceased.
According to police, Dell didn’t get far. He was arrested close to the scene.
They have not said what was the motive behind the murder or how long the men knew each other.
The victim has not been identified.
Dell is currently in jail under no bond.
