CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department homicide detectives are investigating the death of a juvenile.
Officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call on Grassy Patch Lane near Brookeshire Boulevard overnight on Sunday, September 20th. CMPD officers observed that multiple residents had been shot into. Two victims were found with gunshot wounds. One victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The juvenile victim was identified as 4-year-old, Caleb Flax. Flax was pronounced dead at the hospital.
This investigation remains ongoing.
