Possible 2nd Wegman’s location coming to Cornelius as Charlotte location prepares to open

CORNELIUS, N.C. – Less than a month before the first Wegman’s location opens in Charlotte, there’s already speculation about a second location in Cornelius.

An 11,000 square foot store will open next month on North Community House Road in Ballantyne. A grand opening will take place on October 14th.

Meantime, the company confirms it has agreed to purchase property from Atrium Health located at West Moreland Road and Statesville Road in Cornelius. Wegman’s says it is evaluating the site for a potential grocery store, along with other possible uses.
