Dr. Crystal Hill was nominated for NC Superintendent of Year, now ineligible after firing

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Former CMS Superintendent Dr. Crystal Hill was nominated for North Carolina Superintendent of the Year. However, she is now ineligible for the award after to being fired last week by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Board of Education.

It comes after Hill was named 2027 Superintendent of the Year for the Southwest Region of North Carolina. That award came after many schools in CMS raised their performance scores under her leadership.
