Police: Monroe man arrested after downloading, sharing child sexual abuse materials

MONROE, N.C. – A Monroe man is behind bars facing multiple child sexual exploitation charges. Investigators say they started tracking 24-year-old Christian Williams after they got a tip that he was downloading and sharing child sexual abuse material.

Monroe Police and the SBI executed a search warrant Wednesday at an apartment on Commerce Drive, where they arrested Williams. He’s in the Union County Detention Center.
