NASCAR Hall of Fame opens new exhibit honoring the legacy of Kyle Busch

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The NASCAR Hall of Fame has opened a new featured exhibit dedicated to celebrating the historic 25-year racing career and lasting sports legacy of Kyle Busch, officials announced Friday.

Titled “Kyle Busch: Honoring A Legacy,” the limited-time exhibit has been installed in the facility’s Victory Lane section. The showcase highlights Busch’s extraordinary achievements, including his two NASCAR Cup Series championships and his record-setting 234 combined victories across NASCAR’s three national series—the most of any driver in the history of the sport.

The center piece of the display is the iconic No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota Camry that Busch drove to secure his first premier series championship in 2015. The exhibit features the vehicle alongside multimedia videos and photographs capturing his career milestones and his extensive influence outside the cockpit.

“Kyle Busch’s remarkable career spans each of those areas and we are honored to work with Samantha and her family to highlight Kyle’s extraordinary contributions to NASCAR’s history,” Winston Kelley, Executive Director of the NASCAR Hall of Fame, said in a statement.

The exhibition also tracks Busch’s impact as a team owner and mentor through Kyle Busch Motorsports, a program that developed and launched the careers of multiple prominent modern NASCAR stars.

Busch’s widow, Samantha Busch, collaborated directly with the museum curators to select the vehicle for the display.

“When they asked which of Kyle’s cars I wanted here, there were so many that could have been chosen,” Samantha Busch said. “But for me, there was only one choice, his 2015 championship car. Because when I look at this car, I don’t just see a championship. I see everything Kyle overcame to earn it.”

Located in Uptown Charlotte, the municipally owned NASCAR Hall of Fame features interactive galleries and historical artifacts. The new exhibit opens ahead of a busy stretch for the venue, which includes welcoming its incoming Class of 2027 inductees this weekend.
