IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. – A motorcycle accident occurred in Iredell County on I-77 near the 32 mile marker. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol conducted an investigation to the incident.
The investigation determined that a motorcycle was traveling north on I-77 when it entered the toll lanes to pass a vehicle. While attempting to enter the general-purpose lanes, the motorcycle struck a delineator.
The driver lost control and was totally ejected from the motorcycle. Hernan Gonzalo Morris Diaz, 41, was airlifted to a local medical facility and would die from his injuries.
