CHARLOTTE,NC–The clouds didn’t stop people from raising money for Charlotte non profits Sunday.
The Charlotte Crop Hunger Walk is the largest in the country, with more than 5,000 showing up to walk.
Everybody who participated in the walk donated money or canned goods and 25 percent of the funds went to local charities.
Organizers say the event draws all types of people.
The Church World Service organizes the crop walk and donates most of the funds to international food aid agencies.
