CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A popular east Charlotte road will be closed over the weekend. Β
Crews will close outbound Central Avenue at North Sharon Amity at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 11th and will remain closed until 6 a.m. on Monday, July 14th. Β
During the same time period, northbound North Sharon Amity Road at Central Avenue will be reduced to one lane. Β Inbound Central Avenue at North Sharon Amity will also be reduced to one lane. Β
Crews will be working on a sanitary sewer line. Β Officials urge motorists to use alternate routes to avoid heavy congestion. Β CATS will not be affected. Β
