A guy in Washington state learned there’s a gray area to smoking the green stuff. He claims to be one of the first in the state to be fired for legally smoking pot.
His job ordered him to take a drug test after he was spotted buying weed on TV. Washington legalized pot sales Tuesday, but employers still have the right to hire and fire smokers.
Besides the technicalities, Washington expects to make $586 million over four years off of marijuana sales. At $20 a gram, the legal price is almost double what pot was selling for on the street. The tax rate is 44 percent!
It appears to be a real cash crop. So we hit the streets to see if people think its time to legalize pot here in the Carolinas…
